Refund of Road Service Contribution (CSR)
The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that the Road Service Contribution is illegal because it infringes Council Directive 2008/118/EC of 16 December 2008 on the general arrangements for excise duties.
The most recent arbitration decisions by the Centre for Administrative Arbitration (CAAD) on this matter have mostly decided to uphold the claim for reimbursement of this tax, for companies and final consumers who pay it, plus the respective compensatory interest.
